Sponsor a Foster Child

Bring family to a foster child …

Today we have 102 children living in the Village of Transformation.

Atop our mountain campus is a collection of family-style foster homes. Families, therapists, nurses, social workers, and nannies came together to collectively nurture and raise 103 children last year. Many who live in our foster care community, the Village of Transformation, carry emotional scars from trauma, abuse, and years of neglect. Here, our team works tirelessly to provide encouragement and opportunity to just be a child.

Through a gift of Sponsorship, you and your family are truly changing futures at the Village of Transformation.

Our vision is to provide a place of safety and opportunity for all children to be nurtured and well- cared for until their families are able to welcome them home. At the Village of Transformation, we aim to point towards the Gospel in all we do, knowing that the time we have with these hurting children will likely be brief.

Last year, more than 50 children transitioned back to safe homes, and though we miss the sound of their laughter,
we celebrate each reunion.

When you Sponsor a Child at Hope of Life International,
you are part of something bigger:

COMMUNITY
PARTNERSHIP

We connect with community leaders, teachers and parents to determine your child’s unique needs, then partner with them to create sustainable solutions. Our goal is to provide children with opportunity to create better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

PERSONAL
CONNECTION

Nothing compares to in-person hugs with your sponsored child. We invite you to come walk the village path to meet your child and see firsthand the impact of Sponsorship. You will not be the same.

Regular
Updates

Twice each year you will receive updates from your child, including updated photos to hang on the fridge! Your letters, prayers, gifts, love, and donations result in real, lasting change for your sponsored child, their family, and their community.

As in most developing countries, children with disabilities are among the most marginalized population in Guatemala. Often children born with disabilities are, at best, outcasts; at worst, they are discarded at birth or in early childhood. Kelly’s House provides full-time care for children with special needs and is dedicated to the memory of Kelly Loveland Gourley, who dedicated her short life to helping those in need before losing her battle with cancer.

“…I did not die, I lived! And now I am telling the world what God did.” Psalm 118:17
